When the knife is warm, gently cut the nutella and take the right amount that you want. But If you feel the nutella is still stiff, you might need to heat the knife for few more minutes.
Finally, Spread nutella on your toasted bread, and enjoy your breakfast !!
OPTION 2: USING MICROWAVE WITH A MICROWAVE-SAFE CONTAINER
If you want to melt the big amount of nutella for your dessert recipes, do not put your plastic nutella jar in the microwave because using plastic in the microwave creates a risk of poisoning and can cause cancer. Remember only use glass or microwave-safe container in the microwave. Follow the instructions below for your health and safety.
1. Spoon Out Nutella
Spoon the right amount of Nutella that you want into a microwave-safe bowl. Few spoons will be enough if you need it for your bread spreads; however, if you want to make some desserts, half jar, or 2/3 of the jar will be sufficient.
2. Melt the Nutella in the microwave
Set the microwave about 15 seconds, and heat the bowl inside the microwave. After you remove the bowl from the microwave, it should give you the right consistency that you desire; still, it also depends on the amount of nutella.
3. Stir the Nutella
Because the microwave warms food from the outside in, so we can’t know the inside gets the right warmth. Then you might need to use a spoon to stir because it will warm the nutella evenly.
Besides, if you warm the big amount of nutella, and 15 seconds of heating doesn’t give you the right consistency, put the bowl back into the microwave and heat for another 15 seconds. Then give it few round stirs to spread the heat equally. You might need to repeat this step 2-3 times until you find the right consistency.
OPTION 3: PUTTING NUTELLA IN A BOWL OF HOT WATER

If Nutella is still tough, give it few stirs and return the nutella jar back into the bowl. You can keep on repeating this step until you are happy with the consistency of the nutella.
